Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Brown Park's namesake is Esther E. Brown, the local resident who organized citizen support for the 1949 Webb v. School District 90 case. The Webb case helped set the background for the 1954 Brown v. the Board of Education lawsuit that ultimately serves as one of the most recognizable historic victories in the county's Civil Rights.
Date
Source The files with the trumpet player came from the Kansas City, Star news paper, and The local Tulsa news paper. The photos of John Brown came from a online search of Google. The rest are personally taken photos.
Author Joe Ledford from the Kansas City Star: jledford@kcdstar.com & Joesph Rushmore from Tulso World
