This medieval castle appearance was completely restored between 1872 and 1877. The first known lord of the place is of Ramefort Gaudin (reported to 1182). The castle was bought by the Count of Bondy in 1854. He commission the restoration of the castle at the Parisian architect Alexandre-Alexis Arveuf. It was in this castle that the Countess Marie de Bondy had converted to Christianity Charles de Foucault. |
