Description
English: Upper panel: Circular dichroism spectrometry in the ultraviolet wavelength region (UV-CD) of MBP-cytochrome b6 fusion protein in different detergent solutions. It shows that the protein in DM, as well as in Triton X-100 solution, recovered its structure. However the spectra obtained from SDS solution shows decreased ellipticity in the range between 200–210nm, which indicates incomplete secondary structure recovery.
Lower panel: The content of secondary structures predicted from the CD spectra using the CDSSTR algorithm. The protein in SDS solution shows increased content of unordered structures and decreased helices content.
Polski: Góra: Dichroizm kołowy w zakresie światła ultrafioletowego białka fuzyjnego MBP-cytochrome b6 w roztworach różnych detergentów. Pokazuje, że w roztworze DM, jak i w Triton X-100, białko odzyskało swoją strukturę. Jednak spektrum dla białka w roztworze SDS pokazuje obniżoną eliptyczność w zakresie 200-210nm wskazującą na niekompletne odtworzenie struktury drugorzędowej.
Dół: Udział struktur drugorzędowych obliczony na podstawie widma CD za pomocą algorytmu CDSSTR. Białko w roztworze SDS ukazuje podwyższoną zawartość struktur nieuporządkowanych i obniżoną zawartość helis.
