Polski: Narożna kamienica przypisana była do dzielnicy Górne Przedmieście z numerem konskrypcyjnym 415. Obiekt został wybudowany w 1881 roku przez Aloisa Jedeka dla Alfonsa Mattera. W 1883 roku dobudowano prawe skrzydło równocześnie z budową kamienicy przy Stalmacha 12. Od 10 sierpnia 1918 roku kamienica była własnością Macierzy Szkolnej Księstwa Cieszyńskiego, zaś obecnie znajduje się tu siedziba Macierzy Ziemi Cieszyńskiej. English: Paul Stalmach street in Cieszyn was formerly known as Empress Elisabeth street, in a district of Cieszyn developed by the renowned builder and businessman, Alfons Matter. The building at Number 14 now houses the main office and library of the Cieszyn Education Society and was formerly the home of Andrzej Kusionowicz who was secretary of the society when Paweł Stalmach was President. Andrzej was living at this address in 1894 when his first wife Anna died of tuberculosis at the age of only thirty. In 1896 Andrzej, who later became a Silesian Appeal Court Judge, married Alicja Matter, the eldest daughter of Alfons. |
