English: Memorial marble tablet plaque to Joseph Tuder of Sedgwick Park (d,1774 age 82); his niece Rebecca Nelthorpe (d.1784 age 68); his nephew William Nelthorpe (d.1791 age 74); and his niece Elizabeth Nelthorpe (d.1801 age 83), in the chancel of the Grade II listed St Andrew's Church on Nuthurst Street (aka Harriots Hill) in the village of Nuthurst, West Sussex, England.
Arms: Nelthorpe: Argent, on a pale sable a sword erect of the first pommel and hilt or (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.726); the other shield ((Gules?), a chevron (ermine?) between three ....) is presumably "Tuder", not listed in Burke. The arms of the Tudor/Tudyr family of Wales was Gules, a chevron between three close-helmets argent (Burke, p.1035). Camera: Canon EOS 6D Mark II with Canon EF 24-105mm F4L IS USM lens. Software: File lens-corrected, optimized, perhaps cropped, with DxO OpticsPro 11 Elite, and likely further optimized with Adobe Photoshop CS2. |
