Summary
[edit]DescriptionChurch Army chapel 044.jpg | Part of south-east elevation of Church Army Chapel, Blackheath, London, England, showing roof buttress now painted white, and an additional window, also painted white. The roof edges and the sides of the buttresses were originally copper-covered, so the new white paint changes the building's intended effect of an all-copper roof over an all-white building (see File:Church Army Chapel 002.jpg). The horizontal white lines of the additional window change the originally intended effect of vertical window-columns which symbolised columns in a traditional church aisle. Built 1965. |
