Description

The reviled, life-size Christ at the scourging column is depicted as a full-length figure in three-quarter format facing right. His head is turned to the left and his hands are tied to an octagonal column, which is higher than he is and is located on the right-hand side. The figure of Christ has an original silhouette, slender and stocky, with a triangular, somewhat powerful head and a large nose. The name of the donor, "i mossu" (Jean Mossu), is engraved in Gothic minuscules on the left-hand corner of the base. The year 1438 is also engraved on the front. This Christ is located in the last southern chapel, which leans against the side wall of the church.
