| Description | Chris Barge is Director of Philanthropic Services for The Community Foundation Serving Boulder County. He leads efforts with major donors to the Foundation and partners with local professional advisors to provide clients with comprehensive philanthropic assistance. He also staffs the Foundation’s Early Childhood Initiative, which seeks to close the area’s large achievement gap between kids from low-income families and their peers. He joined the Foundation in 2008 after a 10-year career in newspapers, including the Rocky Mountain News and the Boulder Daily Camera. His journalism work reinforced for him the increasing importance of philanthropy and civic engagement in communities. He and his wife Erin live with their daughter Ellery and son Milo in Boulder. |
