Description
English: The Holy Savior in Chora. The mosaic in the lunette over the doorway to the esonarthex portrays Christ as "The Land of the Living". The composition reflects the theological and philosophical interpretation of the term, expounded by Theodore Metochites and other scholars of his time (1315-1321).
