日本語: コナラの幹上のアカアシオオアオカミキリ♀（珍しく静止した画像）

雌は雄に比べ肢も短めでずんぐりと丸っこい。

この夏2か月間深夜に通ってピントはやや甘いが雌単独で唯一静止している画像。InfoBox上で雄と縦重ね用に無理やり詰めてトリムしたモノ。雌雄に関わらず常に動いており、たまに止まっていると思ったらグルーミング(猫が前足を舐めて顔を洗うような)状態か食事中で、警戒心が強く逃げ足が速いため暗闇の中 AF補助光のみを頼りに闇鍋撮影と成りピントも運任せで、大発生中のフィールドは別として標本の様に全身の整った正面からの画像を得るのは難しい。また、特に雌は交尾体勢中雄の下に隠れるためカップルで行動する機会の多い本種では雌の全身を写すチャンスはことさら少なくなる。
