Thi- is entirely new ami distinct: a hybrid between the weil-kimwn Cynress'Vine and Ipomea Coc-cinea. is a tall rapid grower attaining a height of fifteen feet or more in a season, branch- ing freely and making the finest of screens with its luxuri- ant growth of bright clean foliage elegantly cut and forked. The flowers open at daylight e;ich morning and fadeat sun- set. They are one to one and one-half inches in width with a tube one inch long and borne in clusters of six to ten on stems four to six inches long. Color is the most brilliant ruby scarlet ever seen. These blossoms appear in such vast numbers everv dav as to almost eclipse the foliage. No other vine produces such quantity of fine flowers, none so rich and beautiful in color, and none more clean, healthy or beautiful in growth. Seed may be sown in the open ground or started in nots- One will make vine enough to cover a space five feet wide and ten to fifteen feet high. Our word for it: this is one of the very finest novelties of recent times. Pkt., of ic seeds 20c : 3 nkts., for 50c. NOTEâJewel Vine seed may germinate slowly on ac- count of hard shell. Soak in warm water or file a hole in shell as Canna seed is treated is recommended.
