This section is also much hardier than the average Tea and while of a fine erect habit, are much dwarfer , ft . â¢au the Hybrid Perpetuals, making them extra fine for specimen plants upon the lawn, or as a center Plant for beds of Tea Poses. Splendid for pots La FranceâDelicate silver-rose, shaded with cerise-pink, often silvery pink with peach shading. Very lar^e very double and of superb form. It flowers continually throughout the season. None can surpass the delicacy of its coloring: in fragrance incomparable: in form per- feet The sweetest of all Poses and ranks first class White La France (Augustine Guinoisseau)âThis magnifi- cent new Pose is a pure white La France: the buds and flowers are extra large, very full and finely formed; the fragrance is delicious. It is a free continuous bloomer MeteorâShows the peculiar velvety richness of the best dark Hybrid Perpetuals and blooms as freelv as anv Tea. Very double and perfect: a rich, glowing crimson" never tinged with magneta or dull purple in hot weather' as are some dark Roses. A grand bedding Rose â Aaman CochetâThis is a remarkable aew Rose of great merit. In rapidity and sturdiness of growth, profusion of bloom, and superb form of bud and flower it will he hard to find its equal. Small pot plants in open ground will, dunng the season, produce on long stiff stems hundreds of perfect flowers that are enchanting in fra- grance and delicate brightness. The color is rich and mel- lowâpearly pink, changing to silvery rose. It blooms â «#JaeariZ a" thetime. We recommend it as a grand Rose White Maman CochetâThis is a superb varietv and to see it in bloom one is lost to find words to "express its wonderful beauty. It is identical with its parent. Maman Cochet, a Queen among pink garden roses, except in color of flower, which is snowy white, sometimes faintlv tinged with faintest suggestions of pale blush; same freedom of bloom, magnificent form of buds and flowers which is beautiful in its perfection. Flowers large and double, petals of unusually heavy texture, making it of more than ordinary value in the open ground. Helen Cam bierâVery full and of varying colors, from salmon-rose to coppery-rose, often of a handsome saffron hue, becoming ghter as the flowers open. A fine sort. Kaiserin Augusta Victoria â A beautiful Rose, with elegant, large pointed buds and very large, full double flowers. Color, delicate creamy-white: deliciously fragrant. Triomphe de Pernet PereâOriginated and sent out by Jean Pernet. one of the most celebrated Rose growers of Prance, who considers this the triumph of his life. The flowers are extra large, having broad thick petals and long tapering buds; color, fine, clear magenta red. Hybrid Perpetuals ought to be very extensively grown. The flowers are of very great size and beauty, produced in great profusion in spring, and to a considerable ex- tent all summer. Their tall, erect habit fits them for ornamental hedges, centers of large Rose beds, or clumps of shrubbery- They furnish us with deep, rich glowering colors, to be found in no other section of the family, and their flowers are also very much longer, while beautifully cupped and imbricated. They are the finest of all Roses for vases. Perfectly hardy in the open ground in all localities. Ceneral JacqueminotâLarge, valvety flowers of the most intense maroon-scarlet, each set in a cluster of rich, green leaves. Blooms repeatedly through the summer and fall and is the most popular Rose grown. Paul NeyronâImmense double flowers, of a shining car- mine-pink. The largest Rose grown ; perfectly grand. DinsmoreâAlways in flower, with large, finely imbricated flowers, of a rich, bright crimson. Extra fine as speci- men Rose upon the lawn. Duke of Edinburghâ Brilliant scarlet,shaded darker. Rich. Cloria de LyonnaiseâLight salmon yellow, shaded white. Marc, of LomeâLarge, full, rich and fragrant. Fine rose color shaded carmine. Roger LambelinâThe petal- are irregular on the edges, like a double Petunia. The color is glowing crimson throughout, except the edges of the petals, which are all' distinctly marked with a white band, forming a sharp contrast and the most unique combination of colors. Prince Camille de RohanâPlenty of name and plenty of Rose. Flowers crimson-black, very large and velvety. Mad. MassonâBrightest, sweetest rose-color, large full and grand in every way. Mad. Joseph DesboisâVigorous, grower and persistent bloomer, color pure snow white, large and double. Magna ChartaâExtra large and full; bright rosy-pink* Perfectlv grand varietv. Ball of SnowâPure white, beautiful shell shaped petals. Vick's CapriceâThe flowers are large, ground color of soft satiny pink, distinctly striped and dashed with white and carmine.
