Summary
[edit]DescriptionChesterfield horse tram 8 at Town End, 1982 (geograph 6541220).jpg |
English: Chesterfield horse tram 8 at the Town End tram stop on the National Tramway Museum, Crich, Derbyshire, UK. One of two horse trams in the Museum's collection to have run in passenger service. This view was taken shortly after the tram had been restored, by the then Chesterfield Transport Department. It was then part of the Science Museum's collection, only being donated to the Museum in 2016, although it had been on loan since 1985. The Museum does not include stables, so the operation of horse trams only happens very occasionally. It is not easy finding a horse which is suitably trained for pulling a tram. |
