Description

Diane fit offrir à la reine sa terre et son château de Chenonceaux. Catherine dit alors en présence de témoins : "je veux lui donner en échange un domaine, et lui propose celui de Chaumont-sur-Loire". L'acte d'échange fut passé à Blois en 1559.

Aujourd'hui, le château de Chaumont-sur-Loire et le Conservatoire international des parcs et jardins sont réunis. Le parc bénéficie du label Jardin remarquable.
