Charles Prosch (1822-1913) was a pioneer newspaper publisher who had been issuing papers in Steilacoom and Olympia since 1858. Caption on mount: James & Bushnell, Arcade Bldg., 2nd Ave., Seattle, Wash. Handwritten on verso of image: Charles Prosch, November 30, 1905. Born June 25, 1820.
