English: Looking along cobbled street from intersection branching off on right, plaque on corner wall: Rue de la Cité; plates and pots stacked on wooden tressel on path, railing fence behind, shop front with shattered windows on left.
Français : Vue de rue pavée [ancienne rue Saint-Christophe] depuis l'angle côté droit de l'intersection avec la rue de la Cité (plaque de rue); au premier plan à droite sur le trottoir établi avec assiettes et pots devant une grille métallique; à gauche en enfilade: maison de deux niveaux, les fenêtres du deuxième munis de volets; maison de quatre niveaux en dessous de la gouttière, un niveau au-dessus, vitrines du rez-de-chaussée brisées, inscription en lettres capitales: Magasin de Limaille de Fer. Bossuet Taillandier, en minuscules ci-Devant Rue [..?..]; échoppe de deux niveaux construite dans l'angle formé avec le mur pignon saillant de la première des maisons suivantes, avec verrière à petit carreaux munis de rideaux surmontée de l'inscription: Bossuet Taillandier, un panneau accroché au niveau supérieure indique: Au 15 octobre prochain l'Atellier [sic] de Taillanderie sera transferé No 20 rue Zacarie No 20 [rue Zacharie, actuelle rue Xavier-Privas]. Au fond Café Estaminet et panneaux publicitaires. - La rue Saint-Christophe commençait rue de la Cité (anciennes rues de la Juiverie et du Marché-Palu) et finissait place du Parvis-Notre Dame.[1]
