English: Chapels in Higher Cemetery, Exeter "Higher Cemetery was opened on 26 March 1866" (http://www.exeter.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=727 ). "On 26th May 1866, Higher Cemetery was consecrated by the former Bishop of Colombo." (http://www.exetermemories.co.uk/EM/exetergraves.html ) At least they agree on the year. The two chapels, which are at the western edge of the cemetery, were designed by Edward Ashworth
