Summary
[edit]DescriptionChangfeng Liebao CS7 rear.jpg |
English: Place: Guangzhou, Guangdong Province
Chinese name: 长丰猎豹CS7 (chángfēng lièbào CS7) Year of launch: 2008 At the 2005 Shanghai Motor Show Changfeng Motor launched the Liebao (Cheetah/Leopard) C1 concept car. Early 2008 Changfeng launched the production version at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit as the Liebao CS7. It probably shares its platform with the Changfeng Liebao Feiteng, which is none other than a locally produced Mitsubishi Pajero iO/Pinin. Sales of the CS7 were poor. Since GAC acquired Changfeng sales went through the roof thanks to the new CS10. Liebao was promoted to the brand's name, and Changfeng chose Leopaard as its English translation, which sounds like a blend of the English word leopard and the Dutch translation of it, luipaard. |
