Français : Chadenac C-M. L'église Saint-Martin du 12ème siècle constitue l'un des joyaux de l'art roman. Mais cette église a une autre particularité : elle possède un "jardin de curé", transformé en musée archéologique. Et dans ce musée se trouve une pièce exceptionnelle : une véritable borne milliaire, l'une de celles qui bordaient les grandes voies durant la période romaine. Cette borne authentique porte la titulature de l'empereur Claude ainsi qu'une marque de distance partiellement effacée : "XXIV/", soit 24 suivi d'une haste.
Ce chiffre pourrait indiquer la distance du fines (frontière d'avec la peuplade voisine, les "Biturisques Petrocores"). C'est à dire Aubeterre-sur-Drone, à 59 Km environ. (1)
