Description
English: The castle of Carlepont in the department of Oise is built in 1762 and belonged to the bishops of Noyon. Confiscated as national property, he has known different owners since June 13, 1791. The castle and his estate are bought in 1817 by Baron Gaspard Henri de Finguerlin de Bischingen (1776-1856) and his wife Rose Henriette Peronne de Sercey (1772-1849) ), divorced from the German banker Conrad Johann Matthiessen (1751-1822). Their son-in-law, Lord Charles Strickland Standish (1790-1863), husband of Émilie Conradine Matthiessen (1801-1831), became owner from 1828 to 20 October 1835. The castle will be destroyed during the bombings of the First World War.
