Description
Entre las dos orillas cubiertas de abundante vegetación discurre una gran extensión lacustre. En la orilla derecha y un tanto lejano se observa un pequeño cobertizo para albergar las aves que reposan sobre el agua o que invaden una destartalada barcaza varada entre los cañaverales. Frondosa arboleda al fondo a la izquierda compensada con otra arboleda, menos compacta a la derecha que, junto con el agua en que se ven reflejadas, van estableciendo líneas sinuosas de profundidad, en una marcada composición de volúmenes triangualres. Cielo cubierto de abundante y movida nubosidad, que predice efectos o acambios ambientales fugaces. Esta peculiar captación ambiental es muy recurrente en la última producción artística del pintor destacándose en la obra centrada en Holanda y el norte de Francia donde estos fenómenos atmosféricos se dan con relativa frecuencia.
