Description

O Centro de Cultura Contemporânea de Castelo Branco (CCCCB), tutelado pela Câmara Municipal, pretende promover e divulgar a cultura contemporânea, estimular a criação artística, trabalhar a criação e formação de novos públicos.

O CCCCB está instalado num edifício da autoria do arquiteto catalão Josep Lluis Mateo, em colaboração com o arquiteto português Carlos Reis de Figueiredo, e localiza-se no Campo Mártires da Pátria (Devesa), o centro da cidade, local de encontro e lazer, nas imediações de outros equipamentos culturais, como o Cine-Teatro Avenida e a Biblioteca Municipal.

Com uma forte presença arquitetónica, é um edifício vazado, revestido a metal e madeira, com 4 pisos (Piso -1 Entrada / Receção / Área Expositiva / Serviços de Apoio), (Piso 0 Pista de Patinagem Gelo Sintético), (Piso 1 Área Expositiva / Auditório Música de Câmara), (Piso 2 Área Expositiva /Auditório Música Câmara / Cafetaria).
