Português: Centro Comercial Europa. Primeiro centro comercial do Funchal José António Bóia Paradela (Ílhavo, 30 out. 1937-idem, 21 fev. 2023), serralheiro civil e embarcadiço na pesca do bacalhau até aos 18 anos, foi depois arquiteto e bolseiro da Gulbenkian, assinando por vezes os seus textos como Ábio de Lápara, tendo trabalhado na Madeira onde foi coordenador do Plano de Ordenamento Territorial da Região Autónoma da Madeira (POTRAM), tendo sido autor da reformulação do Four Views Baía, antigo Hotel São João, que recebeu o ‘Prémio Património – Recuperação 2009‘ da CMF. Do traço da sua arquitetura ficam, para memória futura, obras como as Piscinas Olímpicas do Funchal, a Marina da Calheta, o Centro Cultural de Machico, atual Fórum Machico, o Centro de Mergulho do Porto Santo, o Club House Porto Santo, o Centro de Estágios da Ribeira Brava, ou o complexo Quinta do Lorde e outros. |
