Künstliche Herstellung von Sporentestmaterial etc. 527 legentlich den auf einen bestimmten Grad abgeschwächten Sporen wieder beimischen. Röhrchen wurden dann, sobald das Thermometer des Wassers anzeigte, unter den nötigen Kau- Die brauchbaren die Siedetemperatur telen im Wasserbade erhitzt, in bestimmten Zeitintervallen eines entnommen, durch einen kräftigen Was- serstrahl rasch ge- kühlt, um einer Nach- wirkung der Wärme auf die Sporen vorzu- beugen und ein Teil hiervon an dünne Sei- denfäden angetrock- net, welches Material Rubner1) als das beste für Testobjekte erklärt. Die wohlbe- zeichneten Original- röhrchen wurden in- zwischen an einem dunkeln, kühlen Orte unterhalb 15° aufbe- wahrt. Die Tränkung der Seidenfäden wurde in einer Petri-Schale mittels sterilen Glas- stabes in stets glei- cher Weise vorgenom- men; die Antrocknung in dünner Schicht geht im Schwefelsäureex- siccator in einer Nacht glatt von statten, wenn man die in einem gleichartigen Feuch- tigkeitszustande be- findlichen Fäden ein- zeln legt und die beiden Hälften der Petri-Schale durch den Glasstab teilweise offen hält. Solchermaßen her- gestellte Testobjekte wurden nun auf ihren Resistenzgrad geprüft, und zwar in einem Dampftopfe, der im Jahre 1894 nach den Angaben des Herrn Prof. Dunbar hergestellt wurde und sich gut bewährt hat.
