Description
Nederlands: Het Blokhuisplein werd grondig heringericht en het Wijkpanel Binnenstad Leeuwarden gaf de opdracht om straatmeubilair en een patroon van betonnen tegels te ontwerpen. De tegels bedekken het nieuwgevormde plein. Het tegelpatroon is gebaseerd op de groei van natuurlijke cellen. Het plein heeft een metamorfose ondergaan waar het drukke auto-en busverkeer gedeeld wordt met voetgangers en fietsers. De tegels hebben een aardkleur in verschillende tinten en een zwerm vogels zijn in reliëf in het beton aangebracht. De zitbanken zijn samengesteld uit hardstenen vormen die als een puzzel in elkaar passen.
