Description
English: The formation of the "Caumont Gap". During the night of 9/10 June 1944 the German 352nd Infantry Division fell back under US pressure, creating a wide gap in the German front line. This was exploited by the British 7th Armoured Division in an attempt to flank the Panzer Lehr Division via Villers-Bocage and Point 213.
Français : La formation de la "brèche de Caumont". Au cours de la nuit du 9 au 10 juin 1944, la 352e division allemande s'effondre face à la pressions américaine, créant ainsi une brèche dans les lignes allemandes. Celle-ci est exploitée par la 7e division blindée britannique afin de percer le flanc de la PanzerLehr division via Villers-Bocage au Point 213.
