   Внизу, на ножке кресла, подпись и дата: Багневскiй 1796; справа внизу: 1067. На обороте красным: 1067. На подрамнике надписи: синим карандашом - Lampi 1796. г.; Кн:А. А. Волконской; карандашом - № 296; Р. М. 3669 (номер зачеркнут); красной краской -1067 а.; красным карандашом - ...[смотри сканированный текст]; штамп: Г.Р.М. инв. № 3669 (номер   зачеркнут);   следы   шести красных сургучных печатей
   Поступила: 1921 из собрания княгини А.А. Волконской (?) через ЭК Наркомвнешторга**



   Изображена с лентами орденов святого Андрея Первозванного, святого Георгия 1-й степени и святого Владимира 1-й степени.
   Выполнена одновременно с копией А. Белоусова (каталог 56) по заказу Екатерины II. Вероятно, это тот портрет Екатерины „малого" размера кисти Богневского, за который было уплачено 500 руб. и который был подарен Муртазе Кули-хану Гилянскому. После его смерти в 1800 портрет был возвращен в Кабинет Е. И. В. [Его (Ее) Императорское Высочество] (РГИА***, фонд 468, опись 1, часть 1, 1796, дело 3910, лист 225; дело 4030, лист 427; дело 4031, лист 50).
