Polski: Caterina (Katarzyna) Gattai, urodzona jako Filipazzi, zamężna Tomatis (Mediolan 1747 – Warszawa ok. 1792), była włoską baleriną, żoną Carla Alessandra (Karola Aleksandra) Tomatisa (1739-1797), pierwszego antreprenera królewskiego teatru publicznego w Warszawie w latach 1765-1767; w sezonie 1765/1766 była pierwszą tancerką kierowanego przez męża zespołu teatralnego (zob. ŁKr 124). Na portrecie jej głowę zdobi wieniec z liści wawrzynu przyznawany artystom, dla ich uczczenia. Datowanie obrazu nasuwa pewne wątpliwości, w literaturze datowany na lata 1780-1785, ale ze względu na fryzurę portretowanej mógł on powstać na początku lat 90. XVIII wieku, i być może jest to idealizowany wizerunek powstały po śmierci artystki. |
