Description
English: Engraving (25.4 x 18.1 cm) of Caterina Sforza di Santa Fiora (Caterina de' Nobili) from an album edited by Cassiano del Pombo in Rome. Designed by Antonio Campi, engraved by Agostino Carracci and re-engraved (this state) by another hand to show Caterina older and in more sober dress. Text around the portrait: "CATHERINA DE NOBILI SFORZA CO. DI SANTA FIORE."; signed: "Antonio / Campo."; text along the bottom: "Merta diuin Poeta il suo ualore … / Conuerria studio di diuin Pittore: // 1582".
