Description
English: La catedral metropolitana de Nuestra Señora de Monterrey se encuentra ubicada en la zona sur del centro de Monterrey, concretamente en la zona metropolitana sureste I. El templo se comenzó a construir en el año 1626 como la primera parroquia de la ciudad. Pero debido a múltiples dificultades no se terminó hasta 1800, fecha en la que finalizó la construcción de la torre de tres alturas y la portada de estilo barroco. Después se convirtió en Catedral, siendo consagrada en 1833 por Monseñor Belaunzarán. Destacan las pinturas que se guardan en la sacristía, siendo de estilo colonial y la capilla del Sagrario destacando su frontal realizado en plata repujada que data del siglo XVIII.
