Summary
[edit]DescriptionCatalina Trail Western Terminus (31922473241).jpg |
This is the western terminus of the Trans-Catalina Trail. The road ends abruptly at a cliff with a sign pointing to the beach. The sign stands precariously in a clump of clay soil about to tumble over the edge. It was not immediately clear how to get down to the beach but a hike backup the road and along a cow trail led to an impenetrable thicket. Instead, one needs to put ones life at risk by passing under a crumbling cliff face on unstable rocks and then proceed along the cliff edge until you finally make it down to this location on the beach. This was my lunch spot. A recreational fishing boat is seen off shore and the beach spreads out in the opposite direction as seen in the next photo. IMG_20161226_145529536 |
