Summary
[edit]DescriptionCastleton Waterwheel Museum - geograph.org.uk - 259599.jpg |
English: Castleton Waterwheel Museum Does what it says on the tin. This is a former waterworks with a large breast shot waterwheel that drove reciprocating pumps for municipal supply. The wheel was rare (? unique) in having three different feed levels. The wheel has been restored but will ultimately be rebuilt. There is an adjoining electric pumping station that was originally steam powered - see other picture. |
