Summary

[edit]
Description In December 2005 a small two masted ship named the Carthaginian was intentonally sunk off the coast of Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii to form an artificial reef. It is a popular target for divers to explore. This is the bow, the very front of the ship. I took this photograph through the view port of a submarine in April 2012. The Carthaginian was built in the 1920s and was in use until the mid '70s. The wreck sits on the ocean floor at a depth of 105 feet.
