Opis vrste

D.t. 13,5-15 cm. Rasprostranjena je u severnoj, istočnoj i delovima centralne Evrope, delovima male Azije i Kavkaza kao i u širokom pojasu umerene Azije. Deo populacije je migratoran i zimu provodi u južnoj Aziji. Staništa su joj obodi i proplanci vlažnih listopadnih šuma, žbunje i šumarci vrbe, breze i jove uz reke i močvare na različitim nadmorskim visinama. Tokom zimovanja je prisutna u različitim staništima. Gnezda gradi na drveću. Hrani se semenjem različitih vrsta biljaka i insektima. U Srbiji predstavlja novootktivenu i veoma retku gnezdaricu planinskih područja na jugozapadu zemlje (Pešterska visoravan) čija brojnost populacije još uvek nije procenjena.
