Description
The auction house used a different title, but the painting surely depicts a typical summer squadron of the Danish Navy. The vessels are painted in the dark gray paint scheme that was used from 1895 until 1901. Two of the ships might be identified as the cruiser Valkyrien and the coastal defence ship Iver Hvidtfeldt, and if that is the case, then this is the 1896 summer squadron. But this last part is just speculation by the uploader.
