[edit]DescriptionCaribou Mountain (9785036371).jpg |
This past weekend I was part of a group who stayed at an Appalachian Mountain Club camp (very rustic) and hiked to the top of Caribou Mountain near the NH and ME border. This is a view toward the west I think. It had rained heavily the day before and the morning was a bit dreary but did clear up. The trail was very wet and involved several thrilling stream crosses. The summit of Caribou Mountain is renowned for a spectacular 360 degree view of the Mahoosuc, Carter, and Presidential Mountain Ranges, Cold River Valley, and the Bethel area. (Online guide) |
