Description |
English: A painting brought from Oitylo on the Greek Peloponnese to Cargèse in Corsica by immigrants fleeing the Ottomans in 1675-6. It is now displayed in the Greek church of Saint Spyridon, Cargèse, Corsica. The painting depicts the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus in her arms surrounded by golden clouds with angels and cherubs. At the bottom of the picture are Saint Spyridion and Saint Nicholas.
