Summary
[edit]DescriptionCarbonated Dyke - geograph.org.uk - 938526.jpg |
English: Carbonated Dyke The gap in the dark tuffs is a dyke of basalt which has been partly altered by replacement of some of its minerals by carbonate minerals. Being weaker than the tuffs it has been differentially eroded. It can be traced as a pale band winding through the sandstones beyond. |
