Afrikaans: Redelik seker dis Arctotis arctoides, 'n meerjarige Afrika-madeliefie. Hierdie spesie is van Suid-Afrikaanse oorsprong, en het weens tuinontsnappings om Cambria en elders aan die Sentrale Kus genaturaliseer geraak. Hulle gedy op versteurde grond, en dit lyk of die herte min belangstelling in hulle toon. Hierdie bossie naby die noordelikste brug op die Moonstone-promenade, het by die goeie reëns van 2017 en 2018 baatgevind.
English: I'm pretty sure these are Arctotis arctoides, a species of perennial African daisies. These are of South African origin, garden escapees that have naturalised around Cambria & elsewhere on the Central Coast. They do well on disturbed ground, plus the deer don't seem to like them. This patch, near the northernmost bridge on the Moonstone boardwalk, benefitted from the good rains of 2017 & 2018. |
