Summary
[edit]DescriptionCanterbury Road Eddington Kent 2011 002.JPG |
English: View north up Canterbury Road in Eddington, Kent, England. This is the same view as the one which appeared on postcards in 1900 to 1914. It shows Forge Cottage in the foreground, and the brick forge. Beyond that is another house (mostly hidden from view); the tall houses in the centre background are Eddington Villas. Forge Cottage is a listed building at 250 Canterbury Road. It is an 18th century, weatherboarded and timber-framed building with a half-hipped, tiled roof. The doorcase is 18th century, but the 6-panelled door has been moved to another location on the building (not visible in the photo). |
