View is looking lakeward along the neutral ground from around Chartres Street.

Text on back:
"CANAL STREET
The main thoroughfare of the city. It has four trolley tracks and two vehicular roadways and is one of the widest streets in the United States. With one exception all trolleys lead to Canal Street."
