La campagne Biozaïre, menée à bord de L'Atalante du 15 novembre au 4 décembre 2001 dans le golfe de Guinée, a été développée par l'Ifremer en collaboration avec Total Exploration. L'objectif de ce programme était l'étude de la diversité et du fonctionnement des communautés benthiques en relation avec les principales caractéristiques de l'environnement profond sur des sites de la marge Congo-Gabon-Angola.

Sur ces images macro, la tête d'un ver Escarpia, une espèce vivant entre 1000 et 3300 mètres de profondeur.

The Biozaïre campaign, conducted aboard L'Atalante from 15 November to 4 December 2001 in the Gulf of Guinea, was developed by Ifremer in collaboration with Total Exploration. The objective of this programme was to study the diversity and functioning of benthic communities in relation to the main characteristics of the deep environment at sites on the Congo-Gabon-Angola margin.

In these macro images, the head of an Escarpia worm, a species living between 1000 and 3300 meters deep.
