La campagne Biozaïre, menée du 15 novembre au 4 décembre 2001 dans le golfe de Guinée, a été développée par l'Ifremer en collaboration avec Total Exploration. L'objectif de ce programme était l'étude de la diversité et du fonctionnement des communautés benthiques en relation avec les principales caractéristiques de l'environnement profond sur des sites de la marge Congo-Gabon-Angola. Sur ces images, une scientifique procède à la dissection d'un ver géant, à bord d'un laboratoire de l'Atalante.

English:

The Biozaïre campaign, conducted from November 15 to December 4, 2001 in the Gulf of Guinea, was developed by Ifremer in collaboration with Total Exploration. The objective of this program was to study the diversity and functioning of benthic communities in relation to the main characteristics of the deep environment on sites on the Congo-Gabon-Angola margin. In these images, a scientist dissects a giant worm on board a laboratory of the Atalante.
