Español: Apenas sabedor el general Marina del desmán de los riffeños, salió de Melilla con una columna de infantería, artillería, ingenieros y caballería para castigarlos debidamente.
La columna encontró a las fuerzas enemigas sobre las alturas. A consecuencia de los obstáculos del terreno, los enemigos dominaban el flanco derecho y el camino. Cañoneó la posición, y la infantería, tras porfiado combate a la bayoneta, le desalojó de tres alturas hasta coronar las estribaciones del Yebel-Sidi-Ametilach que quedó conquistado. |
