Description
Nederlands: Print van camee "Gemma Augustea" .Op de Gemma Augustea staan twee scènes. Op het bovenste tafereel een Romeinse heerser (mogelijk keizer Augustus) met lauwerkrans boven het hoofd. Hij wordt omringd door diverse goden, zoals Neptunus en Jupiter, in de vorm van een adelaar. De vrouw met de helm is Roma, de personificatie van de stad Rome. Links Victoria met haar wagen. Op de onderste scene worden links twee figuren aan een houten staak vastgemaakt. Rechts worden een man en een vrouw aan hun haren meegevoerd.
