Summary
[edit]DescriptionCam Lough car park - geograph.org.uk - 555460.jpg |
English: Cam Lough car park This car park provides a good view of the southern end of Cam Lough. The Lough occupies a valley scoured by glaciers along the line of a major fault which cuts and offsets the circle of mountains marking the Slieve Gullion ring dyke. Granitic magma intruded along this circular feature during the Palaeogene period about 58 million years ago, when the area was occupied by a major volcanic caldera. |
