Calvia quatuordecimguttata, Blattfloh-Marienkäfer Français: Coccinelle à 14 points blanc English: Cream-spot ladybird Deutsch: Blattfloh-Marienkäfer wird bis zu 70% in der Leibeshöhle und im Darm von Nematoden (= Fadenwürmer, Parasitylenchus coccinellae) parasitiert. Dieser Befall ist nicht tödlich, hemmt aber die Eireife (KLAUSNITZER 1979). sucht gerne blühende Sträucher auf.

Die Käferart überwintert in der Bodenstreu in Laub und Moos. Im Normalfall leben die einheimischen Marienkäfer nur ein Jahr, jedoch wurde bei dieser Art eine 2. Überwinterung beobachtet (KLAUSNITZER 1979).
