Summary

Description

English: Various types of medicines (calcium supplements) used for hypocalcemia which can be caused by various factors, especially in hypothyroidism, and therefore also after surgery to remove parathyroid adenoma (benign tumor) in hyperparathyroidism, after which, after hypercalcemia, calcium drops immoderately, and therefore supplementation is necessary.

Dosing calcium therapy is not easy, as the result must achieve a balance in blood tests between Vitamin D and Calcium.

In the picture various types of calcium such as Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate, Calcifediol, Cholecalciferol.
