Summary

[edit]
Description
English: CAECILIAE / Q(VINTI) CRETICI F(ILIAE) / METELLAE CRASSI.

Of Caecila Metella, daughter of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus, wife of Crassus.

According to Claridge, her father Quintus may have been Consul in 62 BC and celebrated a triumph for victories in Crete, and her husband may have been Marcus Licinius Crassus who sided with Octavian in the Civil Wars, who was Consul in 30 BC and celebrated a triumph in 27 BC. He was the grandson of the Triumvir and shared his name.

Coarelli thinks her father Quintus was Consul in 69 BC and that she was the wife of one of the sons of the Triumvir Crassus.
