Caballeria visigoda: bandóphoro y tiuphado "Los Monarcas godos tenian una Guardia Real de caballería que defendia su persona. El que llevaba el estandarte se llamaba Bandóphoro, y los Jefes tomaban los nombres de Duques, Condes, Gardingos y Tiuphados. Estos últimos mandaban 1,000 caballos, que se dividian en dos porciones de á 500 hombres, regidas por segundos Jefes llamados Quingentarius." |
